TRANSITIONS PROGRAM
The Transitions Program is a treatment alternative to prison in order to provide the opportunity for rehabilitation to those offenders with a qualifying Felony 4 or Felony 5 offense.  It utilizes cognitive behavioral curriculum to assist in changing the criminogenic thinking of offenders.  Each participant is either ordered to the program by the Common Pleas Court Judge at sentencing or violation hearing or referred by the Probation Department.  The program is a response to the participant’s individual needs and barriers, providing treatment services to assist offenders in achieving goals and reaching long term sobriety.  In providing evidence-based treatment it is the goal of the program to help the individual overcome barriers and become productive citizens who thrive in their community.

THE OPPORTUNITIES PROGRAM
The Opportunities Program is a team approach treatment setting.  The team will consist of an offender(s), a case manager, a probation officer and magistrate/Judge.  Each participant is either ordered by the Common Pleas Court Judge or referred by the Probation Department and must have a qualifying offense to participate.  This program offers evidence-based treatment in response to the individual’s needs and barriers.  While in the program, the team will work specifically with each individual in a group setting to reach measurable goals.  Participation in this program enables offenders to receive the support necessary to thrive as productive citizens in the community.

TRANSPORTATION
Transportation is available three days a week for those individuals under community control sanctions (probation) who have difficulty getting to and from probation appointments.  Please inform your probation officer if you will require transportation services.
